"I believe the Lord is preparing those who will be empowered to minister in the arena of divine healing, but instead of being energized by witnessing the miraculous, they will have learned to gain their significance from their relationship with Jesus and their obedience to His will."

"God was creating in David a faith that would be devoid of all self-confidence, trust in human strength, natural health or vigor of youthfulness. A faith that springs from brokenness smells different. It looks different. It sounds different. It is different. It's not marked by sweat and spittle and froth and pulpit-pounding because it's not trying to elicit a human response. Broken faith does not focus on getting people to respond because its confidence is truly in God alone. Broken faith has been tempered in the furnace, and it has a fortitude to endure great resistance. It is quieter, more durable, and more fruitful."

Welcome to the Throneroom of God.

Walk through the threshold. Be hit by the overpowering presence of God. Behold the procession of angels, the cherubim and the seraphim, the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures – all gathered in ceaseless worship around the throne. Encounter the lightning and thunder issuing forth like a waterfall and the choruses of angels singing a myriad of new songs in unknown tongues. Be blinded by the light which outshines a thousand suns. Welcome to the Throne Room of God. This is where you belong.

a song

I can never undo what you've done
so come and love me like you do
teach me to let you wash my feet
although I should be the one
who pours love on you

nothing could separate this love
even my weak attempts to show you how I feel
I am weak but this is real
it's real love
it's real love

and you placed a crown of pure gold upon my head
and then you command your loving kindness to chase me down
and I am holding onto love that I can't see but I believe
it's real love
it's real love

it's real love
it's real love

I have called you in righteousness
I will take you by the hand
I will give you as a light to the nations
To open the eyes of the blind

I will use you

I will strengthen you
I will carry you
I will hold you
I have chosen you

Fear not ... I am with you!

For Singapore...

come away with Me
come away
it's never too late
it's never too late
it's not to late for you
I have a plan for you
I have a plan
it's gonna be wild
it's gonna be great
it's gonna be full of Me.....

that one crazy week spent in Vancouver General Hospital and Brock Street was really, really hard. Seeing someone you love so much slowly succumb to cancer over a period of 18 months, walking so closely with her the last three days before she stopped breathing and being a support for the one left behind has really changed me.

Tonight was New Years Eve. Seeing my uncle sitting on New Years Eve in Hong Kong with us in church was the biggest gift before 2010 ended. I was always close with my aunt and uncle - they were adventurous, fun-loving and world travelers. They were scuba divers and loved enjoying life. We definitely speak the same language there. I have even often thought that if I hadn't known Christ then I would live a life exactly like my hedonistic aunt and uncle. They had a beautiful house near downtown Vancouver which I've always called my second home. Both of them had just retired and was planning on doing volunteer work all across the globe to make their time useful.

Then, my aunt got diagnosed with acute leukemia, and after undergoing the first chemotherapy which failed to heal her, the doctors declared her death sentence very fast - there was nothing they could do. Over the 18 months prior to November 17th, my uncle nursed and walked with my aunt in the valley of the shadow of death. He witnessed her body deteriorate slowly at first, and then rapidly the nearer the end came. He also witnessed her fight, then breaking down psychologically when everyone knew she wouldn't make it, till when at the end she was as peaceful as a newborn baby waiting to be carried away into Heaven's arms. It must've been so hard for my uncle as the one left behind.
